Every site wants you in its app. Reddit, LinkedIn, Medium, Quora, TikTok, YouTube: tap a link in Safari and a banner, a bottom sheet or a full-screen interstitial asks you to "Open in App". Unbanner hides them, and it strips the tracking junk out of the links you tap and share.

What it does

Hides Open in App banners. Top bars, bottom sheets and full-screen "Continue in app" covers, on the sites that use them today and on ones that add them tomorrow, because it recognises the banner by what it says and where it sits, not only by a list of sites.
Cleans links. utm_ parameters, fbclid, gclid, msclkid, igshid, Mailchimp and HubSpot ids, ref_src, srsltid, and the share ids YouTube and Spotify add. The link you tap, the address bar you copy from, and the link you share are all clean. Everything else in a link is left alone.
Pause per site. Tap the Unbanner button in Safari to pause it on one site, see how many banners it hid on the page, or turn either job off.

What it does not do

It has no server, makes no network requests of its own, and collects nothing. The App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
It does not block ads or trackers on the network. It hides banners on the page and edits link addresses; that is the whole job.
It does not touch affiliate tags, search queries, page numbers or anything a link needs to work.

Turning it on

Install Unbanner, then open Settings, then Apps, then Safari.
Tap Extensions, then Unbanner, and turn it on.
Under Permissions, choose Allow for All Websites.
