StationWX collects no data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
None. StationWX does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. We have no servers of our own and receive nothing from your device.
Your station watchlist, preferences, and cached weather data are stored locally on your device (and in the app's shared container so its widgets can read them). Deleting the app deletes this data.
If you grant location access, StationWX uses your position only to find weather stations near you. Your location is used on-device, is never stored beyond the current lookup, and is never transmitted to us or to third parties.
StationWX fetches publicly available weather data directly from U.S. government services, including the Aviation Weather Center (aviationweather.gov), the National Weather Service (weather.gov), and the Iowa Environmental Mesonet. These requests go straight from your device to those services and are subject to their own policies; they include only the technical information necessary to complete the request (such as the station identifiers being fetched). We add no identifiers, cookies, or tracking.
If you use StationWX with Siri or Shortcuts, your requests are processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. StationWX only returns the requested weather information.
StationWX does not collect data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Because the app collects nothing, changes are unlikely.
