Hekate holds your birth date, birth time and birth place, along with the readings and journal entries you write. That is personal material, and it stays on your device.
Hekate uses Apple's on-device foundation model to turn your chart and your card draws into written readings. That model runs locally on supported devices, so the text is generated on the phone in your hand and nothing about your reading leaves it.
On a device that does not support the on-device model, Hekate falls back to its own built-in interpretation engine, which is also entirely local. Either way you get a complete reading and either way nothing is transmitted.
The chart calculation needs your birth date, time and place. They are stored locally in the app's own sandbox and are used only to compute your chart. They are never uploaded, never shared and never used for advertising.
Readings you save and notes you write stay in local storage on the device. We cannot read them, and there is no server holding a copy. If you delete the app, they are gone with it, so export anything you want to keep first.
If you turn on daily reminders, they are scheduled locally by iOS. No notification content passes through a server of ours.
Hekate offers optional subscriptions, reading credits and a tip. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store, and we never see your payment details. Apple tells the app only which purchases exist on your Apple ID.
Hekate is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, because it collects no personal information at all.
Astrology and tarot readings in Hekate are for reflection and entertainment. They are not advice, and they are not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial or psychological guidance.
If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new date above.
